About

The Andover Astronomical Society was founded in 1995 by local amateur astronomers to provide a forum to share their enthusiasm for all things relating to the night sky.

We are a small , friendly and welcoming society that caters for anyone with an interest in astronomy. We have members of all ages with a range of experience levels from complete beginners to experienced observers and imagers.

We meet monthly (except through the summer months) and aim to provide a varied schedule to cater for a wide variety of interests.

The society is a member of the Federation of Astronomical Societies and of the Southern Area Group of Astronomical Societies.

The society supports the Commission for Dark Skies.
